Synopsis

Soraya is 16. She creates beautiful drawings and sculptures, but above all, she is determined to shape her own future. For five years, she has been trying to escape from Iran, away from her marriage to a violent man, and flee to her mother in Austria. Over a period of five years, Soraya films herself, her escape attempts, and her art. A unique and layered (self) portrait that rightfully won the prestigious “Best Film Award” at IDFA.
