Beethoven: Symphonies 1, 8 & 9 – Live from the 2012 BBC Proms (2012)

Synopsis

In 2012 Daniel Barenboim and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra were invited to perform Beethoven’s nine formidable symphonies at the BBC Proms. This was the first time since 1942 that the whole cycle had been performed at the festival — a cultural feat to link in with the London 2012 Olympics.
